The Peloncillo Project

This is the official website of The Peloncillo Project, a long-term ecological survey  of a Sky-island mountain range. The Peloncillo Mountains are an isolated mountain range located in the Chihuahuan desert of southwest New Mexico and southeast Arizona. Officially conceived in 2012, The Peloncillo Project draws on 20 years of ecological research and, in years to come, will provide an increasingly comprehensive picture of the life in a changing ecosystem.

collaboration between Ken Locey of Utah State University and the laboratory of Paul Stone of the University of Central Oklahoma.
